- The two girls Megan and Hattie are very stereotypical teenagers when they are walking at the beginning they are girly; this is visible by the costume and the dialogue. Another way that the stereotype is present is when Hattie is in her room, and there is furniture that reflects a girl.
- The film I have chosen to would be very necessary to the stereotypes as they play the damsel in distress role- innocent, vulnerable to full grown men, oblivious and self centred. the audience would almost expect something bad to happen to the girls by some of the camera angles shown.
- Hattie could be seen as selfish and foolish as she runs away from her best friend who is in danger.
- The father conforms to a middle class stereotype as he is often working and therefore isn't always in the house and can cause problems for the family and especially for Hattie as she wants to have a very close family.
- The mother is very loving, caring and sweet however she lacks in concern for her daughter and fails to see that her daughter is in danger and has had something very bad happen to her.
