At the end of this year....

At the end of this year I would like to be able to write an inciting and interesting blog and be able to have a better understanding of the media industry; this will help me next year and in later life. With the option I’m going to take at university, this course will be ideal for me and therefore it will be very important to stay focussed this year. The performing Arts course requires an understanding of media and how to use annotation to set themes; often the two subjects overlap. As I've never written a blog before this is all fairly new to me therefore I must make sure I understand exactly what I am set to do!

Favorite director!

Without a doubt, My favourite director is James Cameron, purely because of his extraordinarily  successful movies such as The Titanic, Avatar and Terminator. These are some of the most well-known movies due to their outstanding story lines that draw the audience in from the moment the film starts. Taking titanic for example, as the love story starts the audience are soon captured by the innocence and beauty of the relationship. However as the film progresses, there is a major travesty which flips the emotions so that there is not a dry eye in the audience. The reason the film is so significant is because Cameron build's up the emotion and then creates and anti-climax which is a surprise and therefore makes the film that much more unbearable. Although Cameron has produced some of the Britain's most successful movies. Each one are extremely different and exceptional in there  own way. he can produce thrilling horrors, enchanting action adventure films, while still being able to balance the heart wrenching  and beautiful Titanic.

Favorite film of all time!

Although this may be horrendously cliché, and predictable, my all time favourite film is the heart wrenching, beautifully depressing love story- 'The Fault In Our Stars'. The elegance of the title compliments the integrity of the film as John Green shares the painful adventure of Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters. The film was released on the 19th June 2014 and has been a world wide sensation. Having watched the film with a box of tissues by my side, I was determined to read the book which resulted in me buying the whole of John Green's collection; I must say I was not disappointed in the slightest. Admittedly, the film sent me through a whirlwind of emotions from classic, hilarious humour, to gut wrenching lows. However the ending somehow remains positive as Hazel sees light at the end of the tunnel. If my review hasn't sold it to you then ask any other person who has braved the film and I'm certain they will have only positive things to share!

thanks for reading, over and out!
